Our last full day in Greece. We started our daily routine eating a great breakfast like kings, the breakfasts in Greece are impresive. Like yesterday, the hotel restaurant is open only for us so instead of a buffet, the owner of the hotel offers us a breakfast on the table. He serves us yogurt, toasts with tomato and feta, hors d’oeuvres, biscuits, fruit… An awful lot of food that we only can eat a half.
With a little bit of grief we said goodbye to our country house, I think it’s the best accommodation we have stayed in. Also our hosts are so nice! They even told us they are learning Spanish…
We get into the car and two hours later we are back in Nauplia. We parked next to the harbor and we take a walk to visit the Citadel and to look for some souvenir. The truth is that the Citadel has stunning views but is a bit ugly, because it looks like it’s reformed to use it for tourism (it’s paved for cars to circulate) but it’s abandoned, we imagine that’s because crisis issues. Anyway, the views are nice.
From the citadel we can see some tourists bathing on the beach… Although it is sunny, I think it’s a bit cold for going into a swimsuit. Hey, just next to the Citadel it’s a bit warm, maybe it’s worth trying? Too bad we didn’t pick up our swimsuits.

After our walk we’re going to eat. We entered a random tavern that gives us a good impression and ordered a gyro of chicken, in pita bread for Maria and in plate for me. Impressively good. The waiter is very friendly despite he don’t know English, we get by in Italian instead! hehehehehe
Then, we get back to the car and we drive to Athens, because we have another two and a half hours to our accommodation. After a few more tolls (phew) we arrived at our country house and now, this one is in the middle of the field. We have chosen it by the airport literally (we are practically at the head of the runway) because our flight leaves too early tomorrow and we want to sleep as much as possible.
This house is awesome! It’s a shame not to have the opportunity to enjoy it: barbecues, kitchen, giant living room with chimney… It is a very large shared house, with the kitchen and the living room in the center of the house, the strange thing here is that you need to go to the outfield if you want to go to out bedroom. I guess that’s why we’ve barely crossed paths with other guests. Anyway, now it’s time to go to sleep soon as tomorrow we have to get up early at 6.
